My Ethos
My ethos is pretty simple.
I myself like to stick to a fairly plant based way of eating and provide this for my growing family.
With an emphasis on really beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables from my favourite local grocer.
However I do still eat meat from time to time on special occasion and also include dairy in my diet, mainly because I believe it can help accompany the REALLY nutrient dense stuff into your diet.
I also love Chocolate. Simple.

In my home, food is at the centre so we treat with high esteem, respect and great enthusiasm which I can already see in my children.

Ditch the 'Diets'
This is because diet culture relies on repeat customers and it has been proven that 'dieting' generally doesn't work for the greater population for the long term and can often have the reverse effect.
I try to find a way of eating that is 3 things:

- YUMMY
- Healthy
- Achievable to maintain over a lifetime (with tweaks to suit the process of aging)

Love Language
In my experience food has always been a way of connecting, celebrating and showing my family my love and care for them.
Food is often just seen as ‘fuel’ but to me it is so much more and in many cultures is the heart and soul of the home.
In my home, food is at the centre so we treat with high esteem, respect and great enthusiasm which I can already see in my children.

Ground
Up
I truly believe an understanding of how food has travelled to end up on your plate can shape the way you put it into your mouth.
Very Hungry Nutrition encourages growing small amounts of your own food and educating yourself on food waste in Australia to gain perspective on how you consume food.
